Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for! Mostly we are thankful for all the blessings our Heavenly Father has afforded us and our wonderful families and friends. We are grateful for our health and to have a beautiful home and to have food on our table. May you enjoy this Thanksgiving and share it with those you love!
With Love,
Frank, Kelly, Jake, Brady, Samuel & Benjamin

Back Home

We are back from our huge trip to the east coast! My parents are here and are getting settled into their new home, which they love! It will be nice having them closeby. It's great to be home.
The kids started school yesterday. Jake is a Senior!!! Ben is a kindergartner, Samuel is in first grade and Brady in 6th. It's weird to have 3 kids in one school!
Will post some pics of our trip soon!

TGIF

Well, it's almost time for us to head back to Maryland to help my parents move here to Utah! We leave Monday morning....very, very early!
I went to the boys school yesterday to get their teacher information. Benjamin got morning kindergarten and has the same class with my sitters son, which will be VERY nice! Samuel has Ms. Sum (he doesn't know her) and Braeden has Mrs. Onley (he does know her) School starts the day after we get back....talk about cutting it close!!
Looking forward to seeing my sister, Laura, and her daughters and spending some time with them!

American Idol Live Concert!

The current Idol-Jordin Sparks
second runner up Blake Lewis

Frank and I had the opportunity to see American Idol Live in concert last night at the Energy Solutions Arena in SLC. It was absolutely fabulous! What an amazing night! The top ten from this season including the current Idol, Jordin Sparks, were there and performed. Our favorites were Blake Lewis, You Give Love a Bad Name, and anything Jordin sang. Phil also did the national anthem which was a huge hit. We hope they come back to SLC next year and we'll take the kids to see them!

Jake is in Maryland now and having a blast! We fly out this Monday! The time is getting close!

Waterfall Canyon

We went hiking today to Waterfall Canyon in Ogden. It certainly was not a beginner's hike, but we made it anyway and it was so worth it! The waterfalls were just beautiful and the view of Ogden was spectacular. It was so much cooler way up there on the mountain then down in the city. Thankfully, we didn't see any rattlers, as we were told there are many on the way up! We would definitely go again!

Happy Sabbath

This is Ben, outside my parents new home.
It's been hot here again. High 90's and it's almost 6pm. We went to church and have just had a nice and quiet day. Frank is working on some papers for school.

We continue to count down the days until our Maryland trip. Jake leaves a week from Tuesday! He's very excited to go a week prior to us and spend some time w/his best friend, Jules.

Samuel, Ben and I had some fun this afternoon jumping on the trampoline. That's quite a bit of exercise for me. I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow...LOL.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Fun Satruday

Ben-our vampire!
Frank was off today and we went up to Garland to see my parents house that is still being built. The agent "forgot" to show, but she told us where the key was and we were able to go inside and see how much has been done since our last visit. It looks great!

The carpets were cleaned throughout our house today and everything looks great and smells wonderful. I think we'll start to have it cleaned every 6 mos.

Our friends from Frederick, The Hentish's, stopped by tonight for a visit. They live in Lehi and came by with the whole family. It was fun visiting with them.

Tomorrow we are having a block party here. It is our first and we are really looking forward to visiting w/our neighbors and hopefully meeting those we don't know yet!

Jake's scout camp

Well, Jake got back from scout camp last night and had lots to share. He went horseback riding, shooting, climbing, hiking and white water rafting. What a blast. He had such a good time. He's looking forward to heading back to Maryland a week before we do.

The carpet cleaners are coming tomorrow to do the entire house. I am not looking forward to that! It will be nice, though, to have everything look nice and new again!

Today is supposed to be another hot one! Pushing 100* again. I think I'll see if the boys want to go to the outdoor aquatic center, since we haven't been all summer!

More hot weather!

We're having yet another day of 95* + weather! I got the boys a little 3 ring pool and they are having a blast playing in it! Jake is due to return from Jackson Hole, WY today after a few days of scout camp. I'm looking forward to hearing about his trip!

More hot weather!

Oh my, these are some hot days we are having! 95* + every day! We broke a record last Sunday by hitting 105*. OUCH!
Jake returns from Jackson Hole, WY tonight. I'm looking forward to hearing about his adventures. I know they went horseback riding and white water rafting. Wish I could have gone..LOL!
I got the little ones a 3 ring pool and they are just having a blast in it! Oh the things that make them happy!

Tuesday, July 17th-RAIN....finally!!

Antelope Island, Syracuse, Utah June 2007
We finally got some glorious rain today!!! Woohoo!! It only lasted about 10 minutes, but it was a very hard rain. Unfortunately, my neighbor, Rachel, and I were out walking when it happened. You know what, though? I really didn't mind.
Jake is at Scout camp right now in Jackson Hole, WY. I wish we were there with him. The drive took about 4 hours, but I heard it's just beautiful there!!
We're counting down the days to our Maryland trip. 2 weeks and 6 days to go!! Woohoo!!

The first post, July 14, 2007

Well, we'll see how this goes. Thought I'd give blogging a try. Today, we are celebrating Jake's 17th birthday. I can't believe how time flies. Jake is almost 6'5" ! He towers over everyone!! The temp here in Roy is over 100 degrees, so we are spending the day inside! We'll probably try to get to Lagoon after dinner if it cools down. The little ones helped me decorate Jake's cake with Hershey's Kissables. We are heading to Maryland to move my parents here to UT in just 3 short weeks. It will be so nice to have them closeby!
